From Jason Neef, the man responsible for this great event! My original intent for the "Warrior Combines" was simply to
give a few of us some motivation to get in shape this summer.
After an impromptu conversation with a friend about a fellow
parishioner with a life threatening illness, I realized that God
wanted us to do more. Here is the recap...
* 16 participants, highlighted by Kevin Winkley (48
yrs.) participating right alongside his 12 year old son,
Reed.
* Overwhelming charitable response from people I'm
honored to call friends, totaling over $1,500!
* Contributions from local businesses - 68 Sports, Blue
Moose, 24 hr. Fitness, Spin Pizza.
* Live news coverage on Fox, resulting in an opportunity
to raise awareness across the entire city!
* Inspiration from David Emerson, a true Warrior on
what it means to not only survive, but to thrive!
My sincerest thanks to everyone who gave without hesitation.
A special thanks to all Combine volunteers, particularly 68
Sports' Clint Dominick who provided warmup, demonstration and
instruction throughout the event!
Just wait until next year!
Jason
