The
first annual Faith-Love-Hope-Win Charity Golf Scramble was
held Monday, October 3rd at Swope Memorial Golf Course
in Kansas
City, MO. We were blessed with a beautiful day, 115 golfers
and numerous friends and family were on hand to help make
the day a success.
Through
the wonderful generosity of the players, sponsors
and donors we exceeded our
initial goal, to raise $10,000,to be donated to the
Prostate
Cancer Foundation
(PCF). The success of this event enabled FLHW to make a donation of $16,000
to the PCF. Our donation will be directed to
support research for improved treatments and a cure for advanced prostate
cancer. Additionally, we were able to
make a $1,500 donation to Angel
Flight Cental. This donation will help
underwrite the costs incurred in the transportation of five prostate
cancer patients within the midwest.
